Here are some creative and sentimental ways to remember someone you love.

Plant A Tree
Have your memorial ceremony out of doors in the remembered's favorite park, or thebackyard. Gather loved ones to plant a baby tree to symbolize both the continuum of life and to have a living marker to remember them by. If you wish, have friends and family speak while you're planting the tree, telling stories, reading poetry, or celebrating the life that's passed.

Make A Movie
Take old photographs or tapes of the remembered and make a movie about their life set to music. This could be a great way for kids to remember the deceased, especially if they're too young now to remember when they get oler.

Make a Donation
Another positive way to memorialize someone's life is to give money in their name to a charitable organization. Think of all the good that money could do - either to research fatal illnesses or other issues. Or, the money could be used for youth centers, halfway houses, orphanages, and other organizations commited to promoting life.
